Tecnitravel was founded in 1972 as an outbound Tour Operator to the United States. The name originated from the prefix, later Italianized as Tecnitravel, indicating the type of travel specificity envisioned. It was a time of great momentum, but the gap between our economy and that of the United States was still significant. The Italian industry was in a phase of development and momentum, and the idea was to organize trips for technical visits to various industrial sectors, connecting Italian industrial colleagues with American companies willing to showcase their technological advancements.
