Truffle search & visit  to a  cellar  with an  expert  guide

Meeting at 10.00 at the Monforte Tourist Office and transfer by car to the woods where the "trifulau" and his dog will be waiting for you to begin the experience. You will have about an hour and a half walk in the woods in search of the White Truffles of Alba, one of the gastronomic excellences of the area. The main actor of the research is the trifulau dog which, thanks to its sense of smell and training, is able to identify the precise place where the precious tuber might be. He, then, begins to move the earth slightly to attract the attention of the trifulau, who will continue the excavation delicately first with the hoe and then with his hands, until the truffle is pulled out, which can be purchased according to the updated price. After the research, you will move, always with your own car, to a winery that produces typical Piedmontese wines: Dolcetto, Barbera d’Alba, Nebbiolo and Barolo. You will be welcomed by the producer who will let you visit the cellar, ending with the tasting of 4 wines, including a Barolo. The tasting will be accompanied by breadsticks, salami and cheese typical of the area. The end of the experience is expected by 1.00 pm.
