Pitcher plants at Maliau Basin? We didn't know we needed washings deep in the forest. 😆 The pitcher plant is a carnivorous plant. Flies, beetles, butterflies, and a variety of other insects frequently find it hard to exit the structure once inside, and as a result, they die in the plant's watery guts. The plant's enzymes digest the meal, which is how the plant absorbs the nutrients. Pictured here is Nepenthes fusca, found only in Borneo. 📸 IG: @n.deriy_dido 📍 Maliau Basin #sabah #borneo #malaysia #tourism #photooftheday #nature #fun #trip #vacation #travel #summer #travelphotography #wanderlust #naturephotography #photography #instatravel #beautiful #instagood #happy #adventure #travelblogger #picoftheday #enchantingsabah #travellater #traveltomorrow #flora #flower #flowers #plants
