Pagani Automobili

Who we are

Pagani‌ ‌Automobili‌ ‌S.p.A.‌ ‌‌is‌ ‌an‌ ‌Italian‌ ‌Supercar‌ ‌manufacturer.‌ ‌

The‌ ‌company‌ ‌was‌ ‌founded‌ ‌in‌ ‌1998‌ ‌by‌ ‌Horacio‌ ‌Pagani‌ ‌and‌ ‌is‌ ‌based‌ ‌in‌ ‌San‌ ‌Cesario‌ ‌sul‌ ‌Panaro,‌ ‌Modena,‌ ‌Italy.‌ ‌

The‌ ‌philosophy‌ ‌driving‌ ‌the‌ ‌company‌ ‌embraces‌ ‌a‌ ‌concept‌ ‌borrowed‌ ‌from‌ ‌the‌ Renaissance‌ ‌and‌ ‌embodied‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌great‌ ‌Leonardo‌ ‌da‌ ‌Vinci‌ ‌who,‌ ‌over‌ ‌500‌ ‌years‌ ‌ago,‌ ‌once‌ ‌stated:‌ ‌“Art‌ ‌and‌ ‌Science‌ ‌are‌ ‌disciplines‌ ‌that‌ ‌must‌ ‌walk‌ ‌together‌ ‌hand‌ ‌in‌ ‌hand.”‌ ‌

Pagani‌ ‌Automobili‌ ‌creates‌ ‌in‌ ‌accordance‌ ‌with‌ ‌this‌ ‌inspirational‌ ‌creed,‌ ‌combining‌ ‌technique‌ ‌and‌ ‌taste,‌ ‌functionality‌ ‌and‌ ‌aesthetics,‌ ‌handcraft‌ ‌work‌ ‌and‌ ‌technological‌ know-how.‌

After managing Automobili Lamborghini's composites division from 1984 to 1992, Horacio Pagani established the Modena Design company to meet the increasing demand for his design, engineering, and prototyping service.

In 1993 he started the construction of the Fangio F1 prototype, then referred to as the "C8 project", and the car was tested at the Dallara wind tunnel with promising results. In 1994, influenced again by his World Champion mentor, Mercedes-Benz agreed to supply Horacio Pagani with their prestigious V12 engine.

In 1999 at the Geneva Motorshow, Pagani Automobili rocked the automotive world with the unveiling of the Pagani Zonda. Acclaimed as an instant classic, the Zonda was recognized with numerous awards and entered the elite group of timeless supercars. The long-standing relationship with Mercedes AMG allowed the development of outstanding bespoke engines, from

the 6.0L V12 engine of the Zonda C12 with its 450 hp to the 7.3L and 678 hp of the Zonda Cinque.

In 2010 Pagani created an uncompromising track version: the Zonda R. As a statement of what was technically possible at the time, the Zonda R lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 6:47 min, a record time for production-derived track cars that for several years went unbeaten.

In 2011 a new model was presented: the Pagani Huayra, powered by a twin turbo-charged V12 bespoke engine from AMG, boasting 730 hp and more than 1000 Nm of Torque. Building objects as complex and full of state-of-the-art solutions, such as the carbo-titanium of the Huayra chassis, not only takes brilliant minds but real artists.

Pagani Automobili can rely on trusted partners, real technology leaders, obsessively redefining the limits, finding new solutions, processes and technologies. The Pagani Huayra and its next evolutions stand as ambassadors of the automotive art, as well as the epitome of technological excellence for those who have contributed to transforming a dream into reality.
