Proposal for an experential path
From the sea to the mountains.... adventure or relaxation?
This proposal is just one of the different tourist opportunities of the Foundation’s Network of Companies belonging to the hospitality, agri-food, cultural and artisanal chain of Molise.
Going through the mountain communities of Alto Molise you can not miss a visit, an important ski resort... Capracotta
It is located near the Garden of the Apennine Flora, a botanical garden at high altitude where you can admire many species of flowers and local plants.
A Community, whose origins date back to the Mousterian period, where despite the bombings of the Second World War it is still possible to admire the parish church of the Assumption, which dates back to 1673 and contains many noteworthy paintings.
Just outside the village you can admire the Baronial Palace built in the sixteenth by the lords of Ebulo. The Palace was built outside the city walls of the time, in a period of great economic, demographic and urban expansion of Capracotta.
Recently created the Museum of Peasant Civilization and Old Crafts located in the basement of the town hall. Inside it is possible to admire objects and instruments from the past of Capracotta, donated by the citizens to protect the historical memory of the place. Famous are also the many fountains of the village and the Garden of the Apennine flora, ideal for a walk in nature.
It is precisely in the territories like Capracotta, rich in history, landscapes and unspoilt nature, that the asd "2 Steps in Molise" dedicates part of its activities.
The association has devised for the BIT two possible itineraries of THREE days each.
These itineraries can be organized and customized according to your spirit of adventure or simply fun in the different locations of Our beautiful Molise from the sea to the highest mountains.
Itinerary 1
Day one
arrival and accommodation in B&B in Termoli.
In the afternoon, walk through the alleys of the seaside village, you will retrace its history and admire the Cathedral of Santa Maria della Purificazione and the Swabian Castle in the village, the rediscovery of the history of the area.

Day two
Breakfast and departure by car to Capracotta.
At 3km away we find Prato Gentile where there are several trekking or Nordic walking itineraries, the most interesting is the 309 path suitable for the less experienced, families and children.
During the walk you can drink at Fonte Carovilli, where the fresh mountain water flows, always accompanied by GAE guides and Nordic walking instructors.
Lunch in restaurant with typical products or according to different needs packed lunch surrounded by nature.
In the afternoon we continue towards Agnone , the city of bells, full of churches, crafts and gastronomy.
Guided tour of the old town and the world famous bell foundry.
Break in a dairy with tasting of typical Molise products.
Return to B&B and typical dinner of Termoli in the ancient village

Day 1

Breakfast and departure by car to Campitello Matese.
Here you can participate in snowshoeing or/ and ski lessons accompanied by GAE guides and ski instructors.
Lunch with tasting of typical Molise products.
Late afternoon return to B&B and dinner.

The price reserved for BIT visitors is starting from Euro 250,00.
