The Volturno Valley is a beautiful area of Molise on the border with Lazio and Abruzzo, characterized by unspoilt nature, dominated by the high mountains of the Apennines and the river Volturno that flows down the valley.
The place consists of a rich and verdant nature, interrupted only occasionally by small urban gems that have been able to establish a symbiotic relationship with it embellishing it and creating the evocative atmosphere in every season, as a flower bud in spring or as a white crib in winter. Villages and archaeological sites tell with uniqueness the history of our peninsula, from prehistoric times, with the Paleolithic Museum of Isernia, the Early Middle Ages, with the important Benedictine Abbey of San Vincenzo al Volturno with its crypt dedicated to Abbot Epiphanius, containing a very rare cycle of frescoes, is one of the most important sites of the Early Middle Ages in Europe.
It is here that the visitor can enter the Abruzzo Lazio and Molise National Park which, with its 44,000 hectares of area, is the oldest National Park in Italy, known internationally for the conservation of some of the most important Italian fauna species, such as the wolf, the chamois and the brown bear marsicano. To the west you reach the area of Mainarde with its two highest peaks, Monte Mare 2124 meters and Monte Metuccia 2105 meters .
The Volturno Valley is a beautiful natural area embellished by numerous archaeological sites, monuments and natural beauties such as the Abbey of San Vincenzo, the lake of Castel San Vincenzo and the springs of Volturno.

Day 3 - breakfast and guided tour to discover the Abbey of San Vincenzo

Check out but... not without having first proposed the continuation of the Tour in other enchanted villages of Molise, where parties and re-enactments will mark your next destination.
The package can also be combined with longer stays and with visits to other local companies and recreational/ recreational and cultural activities, proposed according to seasonality and suitable for families, groups of all ages and conditions.
