Montecilfone was first mentioned in 1102 as Mons Gilliani.
Roman finds are frequent in the countryside of Montecilfone, in fact have been found coins of Caligula, a pentagonal Roman plaque, bronze and silver statuettes, numerous tombs and terracotta pots.

Day 2
Guided tour of the Museum of Chivalry "Costanzo Sforza"
Transfer to the nearby Corundoli forest where, in addition to the experience and training on the lush nature, the taste will be enlivened by excellent local products.
Typical dinner to discover the territory in ...... another nearby village that awaits you, to taste its specialties and... why not... participate in some local festival of cultural traditions arbëreshë, of which Montecilfone is not one of the four territorial representations in Molise... a world of culture, typical traditions, in the name of hospitality and originality.
Day 3
Visit of the well-known sausage factory "Casa Florio", where in addition to visiting the company and your workshop in the heart of the village, you can "knead your hands" in the production of salami of all kinds and.... work the "pampanella", following the typical recipe of the Florio family, who loves to elaborate and rework his specialties, in every possible way, to always go beyond the limits of taste and originality.

Free afternoon adventure in the direction.... Termoli for a visit of the village and the Cathedral that houses the relics of Saints Basso and Timoteo. You can complete the visit by going to the "Termoli underground" or the marina.
