Day 1 – ARRIVAL

  • Private transfer from Pisa APT airport to hotel by 16 seats comfortable coach
  • Check-in at the hotel: an enchanting 5* boutique hotel set in an authentic medieval castle whose first origins dates back to 1030, in the very heart of the Chianti, surrounded by beautiful vineyards and secular woods. In addition to the SPA (with a green outdoor areas overlooking the vineyards and dedicated to relaxation), the hotel has two restaurants – one of which is Michelin-starred with creative cuisine – and a prestigious wine cellar.
  • Relax at the hotel or enjoy a nice stroll to visit the surrounding. The hotel is at few minutes walking distance to the lovely village of Gaiole in Chianti

Day 2 – WINE TOUR  

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • After breakfast transfer to the Abbazia di Passignano. The Abbey, located in the Chianti Classico region, is an ancient monastery dating back to 395, where even Galileo Galilei taught. The monastery still belongs to the monks, while Antinori has the use of the splendid old cellars located directly beneath the monastery. The cellars have vaulted ceilings and thick walls, and are a perfect environment for the aging of the renowned Antinori wines. After visiting the vineyards and cellars, you will enjoy a tasting lunch at the Michelin rated Osteria di Passignano, accompanied by the fine Antinori signature wines (including the prestigious  Tignanello)
  • In the afternoon transfer back to hotel

Day 3 – GAIOLE

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Free day at disposal for enjoying the hotel facilities or visiting Gaiole in Chianti and its surroundings

Day 4 – VAL D’ORCIA TOUR: TUSCANY FINEST LANDSCAPE, FOOD & WINE 

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • After breakfast departure to visit the enchanting landscapes of the Val d’Orcia, famous as UNESCO World Heritage Site (as artistic, natural, cultural landscape) and well known also for its product such as Olive Oil and Cheese and Wine.   
  • Arrive to Pienza - whose center is Unesco site itself - famous for its suggestive setting and impressive views and for its Pecorino cheese. Then transfer to an authentic farm and cheese factory for product tasting and typical Tuscan lunch
  • After lunch transfer to visit Montepulciano and its beautiful center. Right in the central Piazza go to visit a very unique cellar: the ancient and historical cellars of De’ Ricci and enjoy a special tasting experience.
  • Transfer back to hotel

Day 5 – DEPARTURE

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • After breakfast check out and prepare for departure
  • Private transfer from hotel to Pisa APT.  According to flight time schedule we can arrange a stop on the way to an additional winery for some wine shopping
