Short city tour by coach to show some beauties outside the center.

Return to Piazza Garibaldi, the largest square in the city in nineteenth-century style, and start of the walking tour of the city center: Corso Roma, the main street, the shopping street par excellence, which today, in addition to the numerous shops present, is enriched with outdoor cafes, a meeting place for young and old on almost every day of the week.

In Corso Roma you can visit the church of San Giovannino, a small church apparently anonymous but which in its style between the Renaissance and the Baroque embodies what for Christianity are the Sacri Monti, and admire the historic Borsalino hat shop, after having taken a look at the valuable eighteenth / nineteenth century palaces present along the entire street.

Continue along via Milano entering the area of the old Jewish Ghetto where the beautiful facade of the Synagogue stands out and you enter the oldest district of the city: Borgo Rovereto. You cannot miss a short passage in via Bissati: a very characteristic small street, which with its small artisan shops and its wrought iron signs recalls much more famous streets such as the Getreidestrasse in Salzburg.

Taking a circular tour and passing via Vochieri, you return to via Milano and continuing on via Migliara, once part of the Ghetto and from the 1800s, for a certain period, street of the tailors, you arrive in the center of the city: Piazza della Libertà.

In this square we have a concentration of historical elements such as Palatium Vetus (first town hall of the city), the current town hall, Palazzo Rosso, Palazzo Ghilini, built in 700 on a design by the architect Benedetto Alfieri, now the seat of the Prefecture and the Province and interesting futurist mosaic by Gino Severini along the entire facade of the post office building.

After the square, visit to the neoclassical cathedral, not far away. Leaving the Duomo we will return to Piazza della Libertà and enter via San Giacomo della Vittoria, so called in memory of a battle won by the Alexandrians against the French in the fourteenth century, to access Galleria Guerci, the liberty living room of the city, where you can breathe a romantically nineteenth-century air and where we will conclude the visit by enjoying an aperitif at one of the historic pastry shops in the city.
