In Vezza d'Alba, the track turns into a secret pathway - one of the tiniest path among woods and vineyards, walked along by trifolaos, the truffle hunters. The panoramic trail starts from the village perched on a rock, descends towards hazelnut trees and woods, rich in truffle-generating trees, such as bay oaks (quercus pubescens), poplars and willows, along the sandy areas where truffles outstanding for their scent and smooth regular shape can be hunted (truffle hunters venture into this area at night as well).

A short diversion leads the trail to the experimental truffle wood in Valtesio - a small municipal wood where several species of truffle-generating trees were planted awaiting for lovely surprises.
