The pathway starts from Monforte d'Alba, the village at the boundary between high and low Langa where the Cathar heresy was oppressed in the 11th century.

Along trails that mostly immerse into renowned vineyards, participants have the chance to enjoy an outstanding view on Langa, which has recently been awarded Unesco World Heritage status - vineyards rolling as far as the eye can see, spotted by green and pink buds in spring, and ranging from eyecatching ochre, orange and red hues in autumn.

Descending toward Barolo, the tiny village characterized by red roof houses and historical cellars - its castle is now the Wine Museum headquarter - the trail then ascends toward Novello, a neo-Gothic fairy-tale like village, and turns down again pointing to La Morra, the highest Barolo land and the "Langhe balcony".
