The Dolomites are the perfect setting for a ski holiday: a landscape of soaring cliffs and crags, blessed with a sunny climate, and peppered with mouth-watering mountain restaurants. And to complete the picture, there are added two world-class systems of lifts and pistes backed by state-of-the-art snow-making and slope-grooming equipment. 

With 1.200 km of pistes, Dolomiti Superski is the larg­est ski resort in the world and a real paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. Situated in the south-eastern Alps, it extends between Trentino, South Tyrol and the prov­ince of Belluno and includes 12 ski areas that feature a variety of trails and are particularly suitable for family holidays. The area is part of the UNESCO World Herit­age. Dolomiti Superski offers 450 lifts and 1.200 kilometres of slopes, 350 of which are in Trentino. Programmed snowmaking on over 97% of the slopes ensures a good snow coverage from December to April.

A single ski pass to ski in the most beautiful resorts of the western part of Trentino in northern Italy, among the striking Adamello-Presanella and Ortles-Cevedale mountain groups and the magnificent peaks of the Brenta Dolomites: this is the SKIRAMA DOLOMITI Ad­amello Brenta consortium. It combines all of the top ski resorts in the Southern Alps, for a total of 150 ski lifts and 380 kilometres of slopes (guaran­teed snow on 340 km thanks to modern snowmaking systems). 

Over 800km of ski pistes, suitable for all styles and all abilities and the opportu­nity of skiing under the stars, or by the first rays of the morning sun.

Trentino is also the Alpine realm of Nordic skiing, an excit­ing activity of ancient origins that in this province has excellent centres with ultramodern facilities set in out­standing environments. Not by chance therefore many important international events have been held in the Trentino mountains. 

Between January and February, Trentino welcomes a host of Nordic skiing events starting with the Tour de Ski in the Val di Fiemme and its spectacular final climb up the Monte Cermis. The thrill continues with the races of the Nordic Combined & Ski Jumping World Cup: the best athletes of Nordic Combined and the special­ists of Ski Jumping will compete in the Ski Jumping Sta­dium of Predazzo and in the Cross-Country Stadium of Lago di Tesero. Cross-country skiing has never been the same since the introduction of the Marcialonga di Fiemme e di Fassa, one of the mass events most highly anticipated by narrow-ski aficionados: 70 kilo­metres of classic cross-country skiing between Moena and Cavalese. For a few years now, in the international calendar of Nordic skiing events we also find the Viote Monte Bondone Nordic Ski Marathon which takes place along the circuits of the cross-country skiing centre of Monte Bondone overlooking Trento. Besides the resorts where these great events are or­ganized, a wide range of other trails are offered in Tren­tino. 

The region also offers dozens of snowparks, all excellently equipped and serviced by dedicated facilities, in ultra-modern ski-areas, with new attractions every year and a number of important sporting events. 

Madonna di Campiglio is a historical location for snowboarders and freestyle lovers. In the Grostè area, at 2500 m above sea level, surrounded by a breath­taking scenery, lies the Ursus Snowpark with 3 riding lines and a boarder-cross track. In nearby Pinzolo, the Brentapark snowpark is located at the foot of the black Grual track. Passo Tonale features two snowparks: the Adamello Freestyle Arena, which lies along the Valena slope and the Serodine Snowpark. 

The Snowpark & Halfpipe on Monte Bondone lies clos­est to the capital city of Trento. It is reserved for snow­boarders and ski freestylers, and offers a Kids-Park for children aged 6 to 14, with a chill-out area with deck­chairs, cushions and a grill.
