This excursion lasting about 6 hours is carried out by off-road vehicle and allows us to visit the northern area of Etna, the most complex and highest volcanological complex in Europe that has always fascinated tourists and scholars from all over the world.
Description
08:30 am meeting with our personle at the hotel lobby located in the area between Catania and Taormina and departure towards for the visit of Etna.
The route includes the first section by motorway to Giarre, and then continues through the state roads towards S. Venerina, Milo, Fornazzo and the Strada Mareneve.
The ascent of a lava flow continues and overlooks the Valle del Bove and then a visit to a lava flow cave.
Technical stop at an Alpine Refuge and trekking on the extinct craters of the Sartorius Mountains also called the Bottoniera.
Continue on the road to Mareneve until you reach a winery for a pleasant tasting whose menu includes the tasting of 4 wines accompanied by different typical Sicilian appetizers and delights including dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and olives, seasoned pepper, Provola, baked ricotta, fresh canestrato cheese and S. Angelo di Brolo salami, red wine shaded sausage, side dish, homemade bread, natural water, hazelnut paste and coffee.
In the afternoon continue to Linguaglossa and Fiumefreddo, until you go down to the valley and reach the highway to return to the hotel.
