This Grand Tour of Sicily includes a classic itinerary with extension to the Aeolian Islands enriched by experiential activities.

ITINERARY: Catania - Taormina - Syracuse - Agrigento - Palermo - Cefalù - Milazzo - Lipari - Aeolian Islands - Catania

1st day Catania / Taormina

Arrival at Catania Fontanarossa Airport, meeting with the assistant and transfer by private bus to the hotel in Taormina. Welcome drink and overnight stay in reserved rooms.

2nd day Taormina

Breakfast at the hotel, guided tour of Taormina on foot. Free lunch. Free afternoon. Free dinner, overnight at the hotel.

3rd day Taormina

Breakfast at the hotel, free morning. Free lunch. 2.30 pm departure for the visit to Castelmola, free walk, return to the hotel at 7.30 pm. Dinner in a restaurant, overnight at the hotel.

4th day Taormina / Syracuse

Breakfast at the hotel, release of the reserved rooms and departure for Syracuse. Guided tour of the Archaeological area: Greek Theater, Ear of Dionysus, Roman Amphitheater. Free lunch. Arrival at the hotel, accommodation in the reserved rooms. In the afternoon, guided walking tour of Ortigia to admire the Temple of Apollo, the Cathedral, the Fonte Aretusa. Dinner at the hotel and overnight.

5th day Syracuse / Agrigento

Breakfast at the hotel, release of the reserved rooms and departure for Caltagirone for a guided tour of the city and the ceramic craft shops. Continue to Piazza Armerina to admire the Villa Romana del Casale with a guide. Free lunch. In the afternoon continue to Agrigento, arrival at the hotel in the city center, accommodation in reserved rooms, free dinner. Return to the hotel and overnight.

6th day Agrigento

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Favara, a small town about 10 km from Agrigento, where Annalisa will be waiting for you for a wonderful cooking class experience. You will learn how to cook typical Sicilian dishes, put your hands in the dough and taste the preparation in an informal, pleasant and typical Sicilian environment, her cuisine. You will taste one or more traditional wines such as Grillo and / or Nero d'Avola. In the afternoon return to Agrigento for a guided tour of the Valley of the Temples where you will witness a splendid sunset. In the evening, return to the hotel, free dinner and overnight stay.

7th day Agrigento / Palermo

Breakfast at the hotel, release of the reserved rooms and departure for Palermo elected Capital of Culture 2018. Possibility, along the way, to make a stop in Santo Stefano Quisquina to visit the Andromeda Theater, a theater built in stone by a shepherd passionate about architecture, placed on a hill in a panoramic position in the Valley of the Sicani mountains, in a setting of fascinating beauty (ticket not included). 8th day Palermo

Breakfast at the hotel and guided tour of the historic center on foot. You will discover the Cathedral, the Martorana complex with the Church of Santa Maria dell’Ammiraglio and San Cataldo, the central Via Maqueda, Piazza Pretoria, the Quattro Canti. Free lunch. 9th day Palermo / Cefalù / Milazzo / Lipari

Breakfast at the hotel, release of the reserved rooms and departure for Cefalù for a guided tour of the historic center and the famous Cathedral. In the late morning departure for Santo Stefano di Camastra to admire the other famous handcrafted ceramics. Free lunch. Continue to Milazzo where you will greet your driver before boarding the hydrofoil to Lipari (stop for a few minutes in Vulcano). 10th day Lipari

Breakfast at the hotel and departure on foot for a pleasant walk through the narrow streets of the island until you reach the Castle where you will visit the Aeolian Archaeological Museum with a guide. Free lunch. Free afternoon. Free dinner, overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Lipari / Aeolian Islands Archipelago

After breakfast at the hotel, reach the pier where Felice will be waiting for you and will take you with his boat to visit the other islands of the archipelago: Vulcano, Panarea, Salina and Stromboli. We will disembark in Salina where the staff of the Capofaro Resort will be waiting for you and will take you to the famous and prestigious vineyards owned by the structure for a walk to discover the production of the famous Malvasia (fine wine) of the Aeolian Islands. There will be a tasting of at least 3 wines accompanied by snacks prepared with typical local products. Leaving Salina you will reach Panarea, the most elegant island frequented by VIPs and celebrities, for a short walk. Then you will reach Stromboli, the most active volcano island in Europe (the order of visits may change based on weather conditions). In the late evening, return to Lipari, free dinner and overnight at the hotel.

12th day Lipari / Catania

Breakfast at the hotel, release of the reserved rooms, transfer to the port and departure by hydrofoil to Milazzo. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon departure for Catania. Arrival at the hotel, accommodation in the reserved rooms. Free dinner and overnight stay.

13th day Catania

Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport.
