🇮🇹 Sapevate che al Museo Regionale è esposta la Fontana del Nettuno di Montorsoli, datata 1557? Una copia fedele del monumento è visibile in Piazza Unità d’Italia. La Fontana è un'allegoria delle acque dello Stretto. Raffigura il dio del mare con un tridente e ai lati i due mostri Scilla e Cariddi incatenati. I due mostri che proteggono lo Stretto sono i protagonisti di alcuni dei miti più affascinanti della Sicilia. 🇬🇧 Did you know that Montorsoli’s Fountain of Neptune dated 1557 is on exhibit in the Regional Museum? A faithful copy of the monument can be seen in Piazza Unità d’Italia. The Fountain is an allegory of the waters of the Strait. It depicts the God of the Sea with a trident and the two monsters Scylla and Charybdis chained on either side.
