The success of Made in Italy food abroad is confirmed by the figures: tourists on holidays in our country spend a third of their budget on food and typical products, for a total of 26 billion euros. Boasting 44 DOP and DOC products, Emilia Romagna offers an authentic gastronomic journey through cheese, meat, pasta, wine, and much more.

Guests can embark on a trip through the picturesque countryside and art cities of the region, along the ancient Roman Road of the Via Emilia, to sample every culinary delight from the coppa piacentina cured meat in Piacenza, the sweet prosciutto ham in Parma, the nutty Parmigiano Reggiano cheese in Reggio Emilia, the  Traditional Balsamic Vinegar in Modena, Tagliatelle the hand-made egg pasta in Bologna, the Renaissance recipe of Pasticcio in Ferrara, the pungent Olive Oil in Ravenna, the creamy squacquerone cheese in Forlì to match with the Piadina bread in Cesena, and precious white truffles from the hills of Rimini.

Excellent wines are also produced in the region, like the robust red wine Gutturnio DOC, the joyously bubbly red Lambrusco in its authentic dry style, the perfumed Albana di Romagna and the unmistakable Sangiovese di Romagna.

Emilia Romagna is home to a number of cookery schools that offer guests the opportunity to hand-make and fill pasta, and learn all about the DOP products of the region. Many cookery schools are located in the picturesque hills and plains surrounding the major towns of the region and guests can sleep overnight in the farms, following the hearty dinner that they have created. A great example is Casa Artusi in Forlimpopoli.
