Today we celebrate the Virtù, a historic gastronomic specialty, typical of Teramo, with a unique and special flavour. It is the main dish of the 1st of May and it is prepared at home by housewives, but also by more than twenty restaurateurs who now boast the brand “Qui si fanno le vere Virtù della tradizione teramana” (Here the true Virtù of the Teramo tradition are made). Every weekend in May the chefs of these restaurants offer this traditional dish, subject to strict cooking regulations, to their guests.
