THE INTERNATIONAL TRAIL "LE VIE DEL VIANDANTE" IS BORN

A network of paths that connects San Bernardino to Milan

"Le vie del viandante" is an international historical journey of about 220 km that connected northern Europe with Lake Como and Milan. A network of paths, with different degrees of difficulty, which winds along the communication routes between Switzerland, the Mesolcina valley and Italy in the footsteps of travelers, traders, smugglers, pilgrims and armies.

With this proposal, hikers, travelers and lovers of historical / cultural and environmental paths are invited to discover, through the common thread of the streets of the past, a territory rich in artistic beauty and ancient customs, against the backdrop of magnificent landscapes.

AN INNOVATIVE PROPOSAL IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE PAST

"Le Vie del Viandante 2.0" is an Interregional cooperation project which aims to network and give continuity to a network of historical paths to recover, enhance and promote an international cross-border path used to encourage trade through the Alpine Passes, as an alternative to transit on other easier routes, which in the past were scene of wars.

The project aims to put on the national and international market an innovative product resulting from the sharing, between public and private subjects, of the value and tourist potential of the wayfarer's journey.

In the wake of the ancient tracks, several paths have been connected. Being a lattice there is not a single linear distance, because the overall length depends on which paths you decide to travel to reach Milan.
