Specialized magazines are now giving large attention to Maratea, here in Italy and abroad, explaining the particular characteristics of a flight over the sea, for paragliders who are only used to mountainous or alpine landscapes. The discovery of free flying opportunities and the diffusion of the information on this field are due to the association Fly Maratea.
Besides the opportunities present in this territory, Maratea also represents the starting point to go to the National Parks of Pollino, the Lucanian Apennine and Cilento, which are a real paradise for those who want to experience Nature untouched. And for those who love the snow and the mountains, you should not feel excluded because from Mount Sirino to Volturino and from Pollino to Orsomarso, during the winter you can easily find the opportunity for alpine skiing or long distance runs or even an unforgettable hike on snow shoes.
