Molise Cost to Cost is an Association that was born out of a desire to learn about and introduce the world to this wonderful land called Molise. So it was that a group of friends decided to take a vacation from their work and everyday routine, formed an Association and put together a project, which involves a trip that goes from one end of the region to the other. A coast to coast to be exact, exalting the archaeological and architectural beauties, the enchanted and often little known villages and appreciating the gastronomy of the places visited, hence the correction in "cost to cost" from the term costata for a more italic and undoubtedly more explanatory description.

The first itinerary involved leaving from the western end, Mount Miletto, the summit of the Matese at first light.

The spectacle seen from the top of the mountain is unique and unknown to most Molisian people themselves. Monte Miletto, 2050 meters above sea level, is located in the narrowest strip of the Apennines between the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic seas, which makes it possible, especially on days with less haze, to see clearly to the east the Tremiti Islands and the Adriatic coast and to the west the top of Vesuvius, Ischia and even Capri, a unique sight in short.

After an overnight stay and breakfast at the top, we descend from the roof of the Matese to start running with enthusiasm and a lot of curiosity up and down the region going to learn about stories, characters and corners of unique landscapes worthy of the interest of the New York Times itself.
