DAY 1 – VILLA TARANTO & STRESA

Lago Maggiore is one of the most beautiful Italian lakes and has enchanted the great Italian and foreign artists who have stayed here. It is believed to be the largest of the pre-Alpine lakes, hence the name “Maggiore”. It is of glacial origin and its banks are in Lombardy, Piedmont and Switzerland.
The 11 islands, of which 8 are in Piemonte and 1 in Lombardia are among the many beauties of this lake. The fascinating archipelago of the Isole Borromee including Isola Madre, Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori is set between Stresa and Verbania.

Guided tour of Villa Taranto (Verbania) with its wonderful botanical gardens, considered among the most famous in Europe. During the journey along the paths of the park, the guide will illustrate the history of the gardens and important botanical species will be highlighted. You can admire the great blooms. Free time for lunch and free time to visit Stresa, the “Queen of  Lago Maggiore”. Elegant internationally famous holiday resort, Stresa offers a unique variety and multiplicity of excursions such as Isole Borromeo, Villa Pallavicino, Villa Taranto, the Alpinia Botanical Garden… not to mention Milan, capital of fashion and window shopping.  Stresa is located near Milan’s international airports: Malpensa (35 km) and Linate (110 km).

DAY 2 – THE ISOLE BORROMEO & BELLAGIO

In the middle of Maggiore Lake one finds three little beautiful islands (“Isola Madre”, “Isola dei Pescatori” and “Isola Bella”), known as “Borromeo Islands”, which are the pride of this region. In only one day it is possible to visit all three, due to their proximity.
Meet with the guide at Stresa and boarding on a private speed boat to the Isola Madre. Guided tour of the great english style park and visit the Renaissance Palace. Continue to Isola dei Pescatori and tour of the ancient village. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon transfer to the Isola Bella and guided tour of the famous baroque palace, with the precious collection of paintings, the richly furnished rooms, the artworks, tapestries and the famous Italian-style terraced gardens. At the end of the tour, transfer to Bellagio (132 km) and free time to visit this city.
Dinner and overnight in Bellagio in a  4/5* hotel.

DAY 3 – BELLAGIO & COMO

After breakfast, free morning to visit the beauties of Bellagio (lunch not included).
Few places are as romantic as Lago di Como, and even fewer resorts as beautiful as Bellagio. Called the “Pearl of the Lake”, Bellagio offers elegant and characteristic facilities and restaurants, special places such as the Old Village, where suggestive old houses with mysterious alleys and picturesque cobbled stairways are filled with shops showcasing the finest Italian wares. Take in one of our tours around the country and its history, or satisfy your desire with a fresh fruit gelato or the wonderful café with irresistible aroma. The climate is delightfully mild, ideal for a relaxing holiday or to practice different sports, and all, against the backdrop of the stunning lake and it’s magnificent villas.
In the afternoon transfer to Como (32 km) and cruise on the lake: during the navigation you can admire from the lake some of the most beautiful villas in Italy: Villa Olmo, Villa d’Este, Villa la Quiete. Rest of the afternoon free to enjoy the breathtaking views and the beauty of Como. The museums, monuments, parks, villas and everything that makes Como so special. End of services.
