The "Locazione Turistica Arcobaleno" of Roccavivara, in collaboration with the "Attraverso il Molise" association and some local restaurateurs, offers a 7-night package with half board (minimum 2 participants, maximum 9 participants):

Day 1: Arrival, accommodation and dinner.

Departure from one's own town by one's own car, arrival in Roccavivara in the afternoon, accommodation at the "Locazione Turistica Arcobaleno" and/or "Locazione Turistica Arcobaleno Duplex", dinner at an affiliated restaurant, overnight stay in B&B;

Day 2: Acquatrek, an unusual excursion, particularly fun and suitable for everyone. It is an easy, pleasant and at the same time physically dynamic but relaxing activity, since equipped with special boots you will walk along the stream, taking advantage of the natural pools. Trail length 2 km - difference in altitude 100 metres - walking time approx. 2 hours, excluding breaks (the trail is not suitable for buggies).

Breakfast, departure from Roccavivara at 09:00 a.m. by car, destination Torrente Lorda in the municipality of Sant'Agapito, a small Molise hamlet of 1,500 inhabitants, 6 kilometres south of Isernia, where you will experience a whole new way of experiencing the unspoilt nature of Molise's torrents. Among the gorges and ravines, accompanied by expert hiking guides along the entire route, you will walk along the riverbed, passing pools, waterfalls and fun slides. It is suitable for everyone and leads to the discovery of streams and torrents in corners that could not otherwise be explored from the shore. The excursion includes walking in and out of the water, passing canyons, gorges, waterfalls, pools and rock walls.

It is not necessary to know how to swim. It is not recommended for persons under 140 cm tall.

All participants will be provided, free of charge: sanitised waders and helmets;

Day 3: Termoli, a day at the sea, with sun umbrella and sun beds available, to be spent on the beaches of the Molise coastline.

Breakfast, departure from Roccavivara at 09:00 by car to Termoli, the second most populous municipality in the region, after the capital Campobasso, with its 35,000 inhabitants.

The town of Termoli, which has been awarded the 'Blue Flag' since 2003, is an important tourist town, appreciated in particular for the quality of the water, sea and safety of the beaches, where it is possible to dive into the water with a glimpse of the Trabucco (a fishing machine made from a thick palisade driven between the rocks, which ends with a platform connected to the mainland by a footbridge) and the small old town, surrounded by ancient walls in which is the fascinating Swabian Castle, probably of Norman origin, but whose defensive structure was strengthened by Frederick II of Swabia.  important

In the afternoon, on the way back to Roccavivara, a visit to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Canneto, a jewel of Romanesque art from the 11th-12th centuries, which stands in a very evocative setting on the Fondovalle del Trigno in the municipality of Roccavivara. The interior of the church with three naves, each ending in an apse, is austere. Along the nave is a valuable pulpit ambo, finely decorated and made in the 13th century. The ambo is supported by three unequal arches and, under the parapet, there are seven small aediculae, the central one was intended to support an eagle that, with its wings spread, acted as a lectern. The other six are occupied by six monks in high relief, intent on the activities that represent the monastic rule of ora et labora. Behind the high altar is a wooden statue of the Madonna of Canneto dating back to the 14th century, in Gothic style and also known as the Madonna of the Smile. In the area adjacent to the church, there are archaeological excavations that have brought to light the remains of a Roman villa from the 1st century AD.

Day 4: Agnone.

Breakfast, departure from Roccavivara at 09:30 by car for Agnone, an ancient Samnite town of around 5,000 inhabitants, which lies between the Sangro and Trigno valleys, on the border with Abruzzo, on the northern edge of the province of Isernia, at an altitude of around 840 metres, where a guided visit to the Di Nucci Cheese Factory Museum of Cheese Art and Transhumance is planned, with a tasting of traditional pasta filata cheeses from Alto Molise. At the Di Nucci cheese factory (whose aged caciocavallo cheese won the "Italian Cheese Awards 2022" prize) it will also be possible to buy cheese specialities from the Molise region;

Lunch in an affiliated restaurant in Agnone;

16:00 Guided visit to the "John Paul II" International Historical Bell Museum at the Pontificia Fonderia Marinelli, the oldest Italian bell foundry and among the oldest in the world;

Day 5: Mini Cruise to the Tremiti Islands, treat yourself to the luxury of a day at sea unlike any other (9-seater boat for exclusive use with aperitif and lunch on board, departure from Termoli ).

The sea, the incomparable views, the picturesque island of San Nicola and the coves have always inspired artists, musicians and writers. During the boat trip you will admire all the natural beauty and dive into the crystal-clear waters. Don't forget your camera, flip-flops, swimming costume and hat - we'll take care of the rest.

Day 6: Trekking on suspended passes in Roccamandolfi, at the Torrente Callora Nature Reserve, Ponte Tibetano, Castello Maginulfo route length 5 km - difference in altitude 350 metres - walking time approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes, stops not included (the path is not suitable for pushchairs).

Breakfast, departure from Roccavivara at 08:30 with one's own car destination Roccamandolfi, the village of the Briganti, a Molise village with less than 1,000 inhabitants in the province of Isernia.

A small naturalistic jewel, the Torrente Callora Nature Reserve is immersed in breathtaking views, where the rock dominates with its force, and the wind and water incessantly sculpt the landscape.

Guided by expert hiking guides, you will walk along one of the most beautiful foothill paths in the Matesina area, with views of steep torrential gorges alternating with placid mountain plateaus with a visit to the Maginulfo Castle and the Tibetan Bridge.

At the end of the trek is lunch at a farm owned by a local farmer, with the possibility of tasting goat cheese and other excellent genuine zero-kilometre products.

Day 7: Visit to the Angevin Castle of Civitacampomarano and "Cvtà Street Art" and afternoon walk in the Borgo Antico of Termoli with a fish-based dinner at an affiliated restaurant within the walls of the old town of Termoli.

Breakfast, departure from Roccavivara at 10 a.m. by car for Civitacampomarano, to discover one of the most evocative castles in the Molise Region. The monument, in fact, maintains almost intact its charm as an ancient architectural giant, in full harmony with the historic village and surrounding landscape. The first construction, dating back to the Norman era, probably dates back to the 12th century. At this stage it was equipped with a tower and a trapezoidal wall circuit. During the 15th century, the castle was completely rebuilt, enlarging the walls and equipping it with three circular, crenellated towers with a scarp base, thus outlining the final layout of the imposing military fortress. The walls were equipped with a patrol walkway and housings for arquebuses and cannons.

Civitacampomarano is a small village inhabited by about 250 people, which has become the most colourful open-air museum in Italy, thanks to the walls of its houses housing the works of the most famous international street artists.

The eighth edition of the 'Cvtà Street Fest', invented and directed by Alice Pasquini, is planned for 2023. As every year, the signs of the stories that the various artists have left and will continue to leave on the walls of Civitacampomarano are interwoven with the stories of local traditions;

In the afternoon, departure from Roccavivara at 16:00 with destination Termoli for a magical afternoon stroll through the medieval village of ancient Termoli among the alleys and small squares of a marvellous seaside village, surrounded by the sea. The ancient town of Termoli, one of the most beautiful in Italy, stands on a rocky promontory overlooking the sea with the Cathedral at its centre, a national monument and one of the most beautiful examples of Romanesque architecture in Molise, which houses the relics of the patron saint, San Basso.

The price for the "Molise, mountains and sea" offer is €. 880.00 per person, but for all BIT visitors and potential tourists, we apply a 10% discount, so the fee drops to €.792.00 per person.
For families or groups of friends with 5 or more participants, we apply a 20% discount, which further lowers the participation fee to €.704.00 per person.

The price includes:

Nr. 7 nights bed and breakfast at the "Locazione Turistica Arcobaleno";

Nr. 3 dinners and nr. 4 lunches in affiliated restaurants and trattorias, as per programme;

Warnings:

The chronological order of the visits and guided excursions may also be modified at the last moment, if circumstances make it necessary, while maintaining the contents of the programme.
All guided excursions are organised by the association "Attraverso il Molise", founded in 2002 by a group of experts and excursion enthusiasts, who have decided to make their skills available in the organisation and management of excursions and naturalistic activities in the Molise Region.

Reservations, cancellation policy and contacts:

The offer "Molise, mountains and sea" is bookable from 01/06/2023 to 30/09/2023, subject to the availability of the lodgings of the "Locazione Turistica Arcobaleno" of Roccavivara and is understood to be perfected by the acceptance of the contract form and the payment of a deposit equal to 30% of the total booking.

The payment of the balance of the remaining part of each participation fee must be settled upon arrival at check-in.

In the event of cancellation or cancellation prior to 14 days from the date of arrival, no penalty shall be applied and any deposit paid shall be refunded in full.

In the event of cancellation or cancellation after 14 days from the date of arrival, the 30% deposit paid will be retained.

In the case of early departure, the "Locazione Turistica Arcobaleno" reserves the right to retain the entire participation fee paid.
