Following the Teverina Wine Route, you’ll immerse yourselves in the wine-making art by visiting the Wine Museum of Castiglione in Teverina and a bio winery.

You’ll start your wine experience visiting the extraordinary MUVIS, the Wine, Agricultural and Food Sciences Museum in Castiglione in Teverina. MUVIS is housed in a cellar used by Count Romolo Vaselli for its wine production since 1942.

The brand Vaselli known at national and international level with its red wines, its sparkling wines and its vermouth, closed up in 1994. The success of this winery led to a revival of local production renewing the glories of the Etruscan and the Roman tradition.

The museum collects testimonies and finds of the agricultural tradition of the Teverina Wine Route and represents a hub for the development of projects that strengthen the identity of Castiglione. A professional and charismatic sommelier will guide you through the secrets of the museum and will enchant you with its fascinating tales.

Later, you’ll move to a family run bio and eco-sustainable winery. The farm dominates the hills overlooking the Alviano Natural Reserve and the Tiber valley between Latium and Umbria, right on the border dividing the medieval villages of Castiglione in Teverina and Civitella D’Agliano, two gems of Tuscia with a centuries tradition of vine and olive cultivation.

After visiting the vineyards and the modern cellars, you’ll have a light lunch with wine tasting and homemade local finger food.
