DAY 1

The first day is dedicated to the City of Mondovì. From the historical center with ancient monuments to the modern funicular, remembering centuries of history in only one walk, rich of suggestions and curiosities.

A qualified tourist guide, will conduct you to discover the principal monuments of the historical center of Mondovì: the ancient Civic Tower of Belvedere, with the collection of bell tower clocks and the sundials in its the panoramic garden, the Bishopric, with its valuable rooms (Room of the Degrees, Room of the Bishops and Room of the Tapestries) and the Ceramics Museum with its interactive installations that will make you relive the charm and the history of this handicraft production, typical of the monregalese area.

In the afternoon, you will visit the church “La Missione”, with the frescos of Andrea Pozzo, masterpieces of the Baroque perspective painting. Lighting installations, touch screens and virtual reality will be the avant-garde digital supports through which to live the visit experience in a new way, interacting with the surrounding space and with the details of the Baroque masterpiece by Pozzo.

DAY 2

During the second day you will discover Saluzzo and a qualified guide will accompany you for a walk in the city center visiting the Cathedral, with its Gothic façade and the splendid altar in Baroque style, than you will visit the Church of St. Giovanni, Cavassa Family’s home, the Castle and the home of Silvio Pellico.

In the afternoon you will visit the Staffarda abbey and its abaxial complex. The church contain a particular polyptych of Pascale Oddone and a XVI century wooden group of sculptures about the Crucifixion. Then the Cloister, the Refectory with some traces of a painting about “The last supper”, the Capitular Room, the Guesthouse. The other buildings are the “concentric” of Staffarda: the village that preserve the historical functional architectural structures, necessaries for the agricultural activities.
