In Maratea an experience not to be missed is a visit to the imposing statue of Christ the Redeemer. Starting from the historic centre, where your guide will tell you about its artistic treasures, you will drive along a spectacular path, rich in vegetation and with characteristic wild asparagus plants, to reach the top of Monte San Biagio where the statue of 'Christ' stands. Here you will find yourself in the most panoramic point of the area where, from the belvedere at the foot of the statue, you can enjoy an exceptional view of the beautiful Gulf of Policastro. On the way back there will be a visit to the Sanctuary of San Biagio. Once back in town you can inebriate yourself with the colors and scents of the sea while enjoying a nice lunch of fish.
