A tour between relaxation and adventure where... walking or riding... the wonder of discovery will leave you breathless!
This proposal is just one of the different tourist opportunities of the Foundation’s Network of Companies belonging to the hospitality, agri-food, cultural and artisanal chain of Molise.
“In the Molise countryside, on the side of a beautiful hill that slopes down to the lake, stands a delightful village that seems to come out of a fairy tale. Guardialfiera, which watches over the first Apennine reliefs on one side, while on the other it is reflected in the waters of the lake basin, a small jewel of Molise."
"The village, which was the birthplace of the writer Francesco Jovine and for this reason it is part of the "Borghi della lettura" ( Villages of Reading ), stands out in the middle of the green, among wild woods and wheat fields, olive groves and vineyards. Of ancient origins, its historic center boasts beautiful architectural pearls such as the church of Santa Maria Assunta"
probably dating back to the 11th century. The building, in fact, incorporates some much older testimonies, originally belonging to a pagan temple built centuries before. Its bell tower attracts attention as soon as you reach a few kilometers from Guardialfiera.”
"But the main attraction of the village is undoubtedly the picturesque lake of Guardialfiera, an artificial reservoir created between the 60s and 70s thanks to the construction of a dam on the river Biferno
The reservoir was intended to provide drinking water in a region where agriculture has always played a key role. But from this imposing work of man was born something wonderful and without any doubt a masterpiece of rare beauty that distinguishes the Molise in every presentation.
In this evocative place, they emerge illuminated like stars in the night, or magical realities during the day...... them..... the villages on the lake!

But certainly, the most original way to discover its villages is.... an "assisted" walk on horseback, with the competent constant support of the A.S.E.D. Sport Molise, the well-known Association that runs in Guardialfiera much more than a riding school because the Authority manages all forms of competitive, recreational, motor and other activities, also suitable for disability support."

:The tour of three/four days includes
Day one:
Arrival in B & B in the Borghi and dinner at a farmhouse in the Borghi area.
Day two:
View at the estate/ riding school of the Association A.S.E.D. Sport Molise, where a small training course will facilitate, intriguing, the approach to your new friend... the Horse!
A pleasant tasting maybe at the small stop during the walk, and then go to the discovery of the village of Guardialfiera accompanied by an expert guide who will enchant you on history, stories and traditions.
Dinner in another farm in the area to taste different flavors and proposals.
Day three.
Who has the courage???
Full day adventure on horseback to Tenuta Terra Sacra in Lupara (2 km) where..... Benedict awaits you.... to enchant you with stories, training and specialties of taste.
Restart on horseback and return to B&B with dinner greeting.
For those who do not feel like taking the horseback ride in the direction of Tenuta Terra Sacra.... can reach the riders at the estate by car and take advantage of the more time available in their waiting, for workshops and anything else in the village of Lupara.
Day four.
Breakfast and check out but... not without having first proposed the continuation of the Tour in other enchanted villages of Molise, where parties and re-enactments will mark your next destination..
The package can also be combined with longer stays and with visits to other local companies and recreational/ recreational and cultural activities, proposed according to seasonality and suitable for families, groups of all ages and conditions.
The price reserved for BIT visitors is starting from Euro 650,00.
