A journey to discover Chris Bangle's Giant Benches and the wonderful views of the Langhe. Don't stay on foot, ride with us!

1st day: arrival in Monforte d'Alba by own vehicle or by hired bus. The Giant Benches are made following a project by Chris Bangle started in 2010. They are born as installations overlooking the landscape and accessible to visitors: "the idea of oversized benches is not new, but the context is: the change of perspective given by the the size of the bench makes those who sit like a child feel, able to marvel at the beauty of the landscape with a new look. "The tour includes a 35 km e-bike route through some of the most scenic villages of the Langa: Monforte d'Alba , Diano d'Alba, Montelupo Albese and Sinio with packed lunches and the “Big Bench Passport” where you can put stamps, photos and memories of the day, thus creating a nice souvenir. On request it is also possible to book the E-bike guide service. A minimum of 2 participants is required for the tour. At the end, direction Cherasco for check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

2nd day: after breakfast, arrival in La Morra by own vehicle or by hired bus. The town is included in the list of Unesco world heritage sites, as part of the site The Wine Landscapes of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato. The municipality is also awarded the "Orange Flag" award from the Touring Club which identifies small villages of excellence in the Italian hinterland. It owes its fame to the Unesco Belvedere in Piazza Castello, a balcony that is unique in the world for its beauty and breathtaking panorama. Along a road dotted with vineyards, you reach Novello, a small village where the Church of San Michele is worth a visit, with fine interiors and the neo-Gothic Castle, which dominates the fortress of Novello, high above the vineyards and woods, a sure visual cornerstone of this part of Langa. An interesting walk along the alleys of the village, dotted with small craft shops, where the traditions of the past have been kept alive to the present day and where you can still admire the old works of the Langhe peasant tradition. Lunch in a typical eighteenth-century farmhouse, which has kept its original structure, where you can taste Langhe specialties prepared with style and tradition. Followed by Monforte d'Alba, a small medieval village in the Langa del Barolo, which has recently become part of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Steep streets that rise up to its square and the famous open-air amphitheater, with a view that sweeps over the surrounding vineyards: a small but wonderful village that holds a thousand-year history. Not far away Castiglione Falletto, dominated by the presence of the castle of medieval origin, and the central tower, high and massive, makes it clearly visible even from neighboring towns. Last stop, the Cedar of Lebanon, located on a hill in the Annunziata district of the municipality of La Morra, is admired for its majesty and for the natural context in which it is inserted: an authentic belvedere that reaches the Alpine chain, with a view of the vines of Nebbiolo and the villages of Langhe and Roero, recognizable by their towers and castles. A complete itinerary that gives the visitor the feeling of being totally immersed in the pure Langhe tradition.
