Meeting at 9.30 at the Town Hall of Abbadia. Guided tour of the Monti Silk Factory Museum. The museum reproduces in the environment, in the tools and machinery still working, a silk yarn factory from the second half of the 19th century. At the end of the visit to the Monti museum we will begin the journey along the Sentiero del Viandante. We will meet the suggestive Church of San Giorgio, probably originating from 100 AD, although today it appears in the forms of the 13th century. The marble stoup from the 9th-10th century and the exceptional set of frescoes depicting themes such as mercy, salvation and damnation make it one of the most fascinating archaeological reliefs in the eastern area of ​​the lake. Typical lunch in a Slow Food Osteria. In the afternoon, guided tour of the Tower of Maggiana known as the “Barbarossa”, one of the best preserved in the Lecco area, is located in a suggestive position in the town of Maggiana, in the territory of the Municipality of Mandello del Lario. After visiting the tower we will return along an alternative path. Arrival expected at 5.00 pm in the town hall square of Abbadia Lariana.
