A magnificent itinerary, a path of water and rocks that will take you from the city of Milan to the Maloja pass and Saint Moritz, in the heart of the Alps, retracing “the Path of Leonardo”

Departure: from MILAN - arrival at PASSO DEL MALOJA (Ch) or vice versa

Our itinerary retraces the Leonardo's Path: starting from the city of Milan we will skirt the banks of the Adda up to Lecco, we will travel along the beautiful Valsassina cycle path to reach the last stretch of the Path of the Wayfarer up to Colico. From there, we will travel a stretch of the Via Francisca up to Chiavenna and then reach the Maloja Pass in Switzerland. As a final treat, the descent from Saint Moritz towards Tirano with the famous Bernina Red Train. Tour in absolute "green" mode (walks, bicycle routes, electric boats) with the assistance of expert guides. Spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding mountains, a holiday that wants to emphasize culinary experiences, slow and responsible tourism to promote the area and the local economy.

DAY 1 - MILAN - MONASTERO DEL LAVELLO (CALOLZIOCORTE - LC) - Route with E-bike

Arrival in Milan by own means. The meeting with the guide will be at the Central Station, we will leave for the nearby Naviglio della Martesana, we will follow its towpath until we arrive near the Adda River where one of the most beautiful and interesting UNESCO sites in Lombardy is located: the Crespi Village d'Adda. Packed lunch. Continuing along the Adda river we will arrive in Imbersago where we will find another important testimony linked this time to Leonardo Da Vinci: Leonardo's Ferry. Last effort of the day and we will reach Brivio where we seem to sense the background on the "Gioconda" and then arrive at the end of our first stop, the Monastery of the Lavello of Calolziocorte. DAY 2 - MONASTERO DEL LAVELLO - CASARGO (Valsassina) - Route with E-bike

Breakfast at the hotel, at 08.30 departure for the second stage of our itinerary. Shortly after departure we will go up to one of the most important and panoramic points in the area, the Innominato Castle, then we will return to the lakeside for a visit to the typical district of Pescarenico and the city of Lecco. From the city we will pass in a few kilometers to the mountain: we will climb along beautiful dirt roads to Valsassina, on the slopes of Grignone and Grignetta, we will discover the dairy tradition of the area with some historical evidence of the old dairy farms where the famous cheeses of the area were produced. Lunch at Carozzi Formaggi. We will continue in the afternoon along the cycle / pedestrian path of Valsassina until the end of our second stage in the municipality of Casargo. DAY 3 - CASARGO (Valsassina) - COLICO Lake Como - Route with E-bike and walk

Breakfast at the hotel and departure around 08.30. We will visit Premana, a populous town perched on the steep coasts of Valvarrone, with a past linked to the extraction of iron from which scissors and knives of the highest quality are still produced and exported all over the world. We will then descend along an incredible road carved into the rocks of the wild Valvarrone to one of the most characteristic and magical villages of the entire Lake Como, Corenno Plinio. Lunch at the Locanda del Castello di Corenno. After lunch we will leave our E-Bikes and start our walking tour along the Path of the Wayfarer. The stage from Dervio and Corenno to Colico is one of the most exciting and landscape-interesting stages of this long path that winds for 40 km from Lecco to Colico. After a few ups and downs in the beautiful chestnut woods above the bay of Piona, we will descend towards Rebustello, where we will meet the assistance vehicle that will take us to our destination, Colico. Free dinner and overnight stay in hotel or B&B.

DAY 4 - COLICO Lake Como - CHIAVENNA Route by electric boat and E-bike

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a day dedicated to mobility ... "green"! From the port of Colico we will embark on electric boats and sail towards the "head of the lake", the mouth of the Adda and the mouth of the Mera river which we will go up again through the beautiful Pian di Spagna Reserve. Following the course of the Mera river, we will enter the lake of Novate Mezzola and then land at the small pier of the suggestive Tempietto di San Fedelino. With the electric boats, we will return to the Dascio pier where we will find our e - bikes to begin the approach to Chiavenna along the Valchiavenna cycle / pedestrian path, a stretch of the ancient VIA Francisca. Packed lunch. Towards evening we will arrive at the gates of Chiavenna, the pearl of the homonymous valley, famous for the artistic and cultural treasures and for its rich gastronomic tradition. Arrived at the hotel we can only conclude this spectacular day with a dinner in a typical Chiavennasco Crotto, where we will taste the typical dishes of the tradition, washed down with good wine! DAY 5 - CHIAVENNA - MALOJA PASS (CH) - E-bike route

Breakfast at the hotel and departure around 08.30 towards the Swiss border; we will immediately meet the beautiful and ancient Borgo di Piuro. In the reconstructed village, we will be able to visit an ancient tradition oven and taste the delicious "Prosto biscuits" or the typical "fioretto cake". One of the most important works that we will encounter along the way is the Vertemate-Franchi Palace. Another monument, this time natural, are the impressive Acquafraggia waterfalls, formed by a double twin jump of about 170 meters of the Acquafraggia stream. After crossing the Helvetic border in Castasegna, we will go up the Val Bregaglia, a fundamental communication route already at the time of the Roman Empire. We will "climb" the Maloja pass which opens the door to the incredible natural scenery of the Engadine, one of the most spectacular places in the Alps. Free lunch. In the late afternoon, arrival at the Maloja Pass, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 6 MALOJA PASS - SAINT MORITZ - TIRANO - MILAN C.LE - Route by E-bike and Bernina Red Train

Breakfast at the hotel - Departure from Maloja towards Saint Moritz, along one of the most beautiful cycle paths in Europe, along the magnificent lakes of Sils, Silvaplana and Saint Moritz, a cycle path in complete contact with nature. We will visit the beautiful Sils Maria and then arrive in the most glamorous location in the Alps, Saint Moritz. Free lunch. In the afternoon, we will take the famous Bernina Red Train, a UNESCO heritage site, which with a spectacular route connects Switzerland to Italy through the Bernina Pass along the Val Poschiavo to Tirano, where we will take the train that will take us to Milan. . End of services.
