The tour starts with two days discovering the eastern part of Liguria, between Chiavari and the Sturla Valley, in search of the cultural and gastronomic traditions that make the area unique. We will discover the wines produced by the famous Bisson winery, the historic shops that characterise Chiavari’s historic centre, the famous “Nocciola Misto Chiavari” and the olive groves overlooking the sea. The Sacred Mount of Crea (Serralunga di Crea), with the Sacred Mounts of Piedmont and Lombardy, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It consists of the Sanctuary, 23 chapels, 5 hermitages and stands on a site of ancient Marian worship.
It was built between 1589 and 1612, with a further construction phase in the 1820s with the artistic contribution of great masters of sculpture. Tradition has it that it was St Eusebius who brought here the statue of the Madonna and Child, still venerated today. The second chapel, in fact, is dedicated to the saint and is located in front of an imposing stone wall on which is placed an ancient seat defined by legends as “The stone that heals”.

– Before returning, we recommend lunch at the Grignoliteca, a restaurant offering excellent local cuisine and located right on the square of the Sanctuary.
